Vintage Riihimaki Blue Grey Hooped Finnish Glass Vase 1960s 1970s

This is a very special vase - it's in a very rare colour and unusually good condition.

Rare colour for this model - Is in a greyish-blue with a hint of lavender - has a deep intensity of colour and a bit of a shimmer

Due to its industrial, mechanical shape it is known as the 'camshaft' vase.

Sculptural statement piece, these stunning vases are becoming harder to find.

Deep grey-blue coloured glass, cased (lined) with clear glass.

Handmade in Finland in the period 1965-1975.

This design is usually attributed to Tamara Aladin.

28cm tall.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only very minor signs of age.
